It fishes it in Brazil is regulated and fiscalized by the IBAMA, that is a in charge governmental agency of the maintenance them our natural resources. 

All angling it must have annual license of fishes and respect the directions of the IBAMA. 

Fishes amateur is divided in 2 categories, according to portaria nº 1.583 of the IBAMA: 

• The category [ A ] encloses fishes it disembarked, using simple line of hand, hooks used with artificial or natural lure with simple fishing-rod or fishing-rod with reel or spinning reel with lure and casting net (with minimum of 25mm between nots and only used in the sea). 

• The category [ B ] it with the same equipment and allows to the use of boats of the class " recreation ". 

The Law nº 9.059, excuses the pensioners, men with more than 65 years old and women above of 60 years old of the payment of the tax. The pensioners must catch a special formulary ( DUA ) in the proper IBAMA and take identity papers  and voucher of retirement. Already the aged ones only need to present identity papers, the License  for these cases is for indeterminate time. 

The limit for the capture and Fished transport  is  30Kg plus a unit for fisherman. It is important to stand out that the License of Fishes amateur does not allow the commercialization of the fished one. It fishes it must have only sporting purpose. 

Those that they only use line of hand or simple fishing-rod and hook in fish disembarked they are excused from the tax. 

The license of fishes can be acquire  in the agencies of the Bank of Brazil or in the proper IBAMA that is located in Porto Alegre in the Street Miguel Teixeira, 126 Cidade Baixa CEP: 90050-250
